The trouble with permanent wheels is that, with all the handling and travel trunks go through—being thrown into car trunks, shipping on airlines, getting hauled in and out of camp, kids jumping off the top bunk onto their trunk—the wheels tend to get damaged. The wheels instantly go on and they remove just as easily with an easy tug—no tools required.
